Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 cup crab meat (lump or flaked)
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Paprika for topping
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease a small baking dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Mix until the base is smooth.
Stir in the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt until everything is well combined.
Gently fold in the crab meat, taking care not to break up the lumps too much if you are using lump crab.
Spread the entire mixture evenly into your prepared baking dish.
Sprinkle a light layer of paprika over the top surface of the dip.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is hot throughout and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden brown.
Let the hot crab dip rest for 5 minutes before serving warm with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use lump crab meat instead of flaked or imitation crab.
If you prefer a spicier dip, add a dash of hot sauce to the cream cheese mixture.
This dip reheats well; cover it tightly and warm it in the oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit until heated through.
