Make these soft, fluffy Garlic Parmesan Knots that are loaded with garlic butter and cheese. They are perfect as an appetizer or a side dish for any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough or biscuit dough
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. If using pizza dough, roll it out slightly and cut it into 12 equal strips. If using biscuit dough, separate the biscuits and cut each biscuit in half horizontally to make 12 thin pieces. Gently stretch and twist each piece into a knot shape.
  3. Place the knots onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a small space between them.
  4. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. While the knots bake, prepare the garlic butter mixture. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
  6. Remove the hot knots from the oven. Immediately brush the garlic butter mixture generously over all surfaces of the warm knots.
  7. Sprinkle the tops of the knots with the remaining Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
  8. Serve the Garlic Parmesan Knots warm.

Notes

  • For extra soft knots, cover the baked knots with foil for 5 minutes after brushing with butter to let the steam keep them tender.
  • You can substitute fresh garlic with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder if you prefer a milder flavor.
  • These pair well with your favorite pasta dishes or soups for a complete dinner.
