Make this creamy dill pickle dip in minutes. It is a tangy, crowd-pleasing party appetizer perfect for game day or any gathering. You only need a few simple ingredients for this no-bake dip.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dill pickles
  • 1/4 cup pickle juice (from the pickle jar)
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives for garnish

Instructions

  1. Drain the chopped dill pickles well. Press them between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat them together until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
  3. Add the chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, dried dill weed, garlic powder, and black pepper to the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Stir everything together until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the dip. Taste the dip and add a small splash more pickle juice if you want more tang.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the pickle dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to blend together.
  6. Before serving, garnish the top with fresh chives, if using. Serve your easy appetizer dip with potato chips, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For an extra layer of flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the sour cream with 1/4 cup of your favorite ranch seasoning mix to make a ranch pickle dip.
  • You can make this cold dip recipe up to 24 hours ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve.
  • If you prefer a crunchier texture, reserve 2 tablespoons of the chopped pickles and stir them in just before serving instead of mixing them in earlier.
