Make melt-in-your-mouth tender crockpot steak bites using sirloin cubes slow-cooked in a savory garlic butter sauce. This is an easy, set-it-and-forget-it recipe perfect for weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into your slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the beef broth, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the steak cubes in the slow cooker. Stir gently to coat the meat.
  4. Place the pieces of butter evenly over the top of the steak mixture.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, until the steak is very tender.
  6. Stir the steak bites before serving. Serve hot over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, remove the steak and set aside. Mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water, stir into the liquid in the slow cooker, and cook on HIGH for 15-20 minutes until thickened.
  • You can add 1 lb of small red potatoes, quartered, to the slow cooker along with the steak for a complete meal.
  • Use sirloin or top round steak for the best results in the slow cooker.
