Make this simple Cranberry Jalapeno Cream Cheese Dip, a perfect sweet and spicy appetizer for your next holiday gathering or game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh or jarred jalapenos (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions, divided
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the cranberry sauce, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, and salt to the bowl.
  3. Use a hand mixer or a sturdy spoon to blend the ingredients until they are just combined and creamy. Do not overmix; you want some texture remaining.
  4. Stir in half of the chopped green onions.
  5. Transfer the dip mixture to a serving dish.
  6. Top the dip with the remaining green onions and the chopped nuts, if using.
  7. Chill the dip for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  8. Serve cold with crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetables for a crowd-pleasing dip.

Notes

  • For a quicker version, use cream cheese straight from the refrigerator and beat vigorously until smooth before adding other ingredients.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, use canned jellied cranberry sauce instead of whole berry.
  • This dip is excellent made a day ahead of time.
  • Serve this as one of your best holiday dips for maximum impact.
