Make the classic, perfectly seasoned, and crunchy Chex Party Mix at home. This easy snack mix is ideal for game days, holidays, or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 cups Chex cereal (a mix of Rice Chex and Corn Chex works best)
  • 1 cup pretzel twists
  • 1 cup bagel chips
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (pecans, almonds, or peanuts)
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a very large bowl, combine the Chex cereal, pretzels, bagel chips, and nuts. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Whisk until the seasonings are fully combined into the butter.
  4. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the cereal mixture in the large bowl. Gently toss everything together until all the cereal and snacks are lightly coated. Use your hands for the best coating action.
  5. Spread the coated mixture in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheets. Do not overlap the pieces.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove the sheets from the oven and gently stir the mix. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the mix cool completely on the baking sheets. The mix will become crunchy as it cools.
  8. Store the finished crunchy cereal mix in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute 1 tablespoon of the butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • If you prefer a Ranch Chex Mix, omit the Worcestershire sauce and pepper, and add 1 packet of dry ranch seasoning mix to the melted butter mixture.
  • To achieve the best crunch, do not skip the low-and-slow baking time. This dries out the cereal completely.
