Make these quick and flavorful Bang Bang Salmon Bites in your air fryer. They cook fast, offering a crispy exterior and tender interior, coated in a spicy, creamy sauce perfect for a weeknight dinner or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha sauce (adjust to your heat preference)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional, for extra crispiness)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Line the basket with parchment paper if needed.
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the salmon cubes with paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated. If using panko, toss the seasoned salmon with the breadcrumbs now.
  3. Arrange the salmon cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; work in batches if necessary.
  4. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the salmon is cooked through and lightly golden brown.
  5. While the salmon cooks, prepare the Bang Bang sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sriracha, honey, lime juice, and garlic powder until smooth.
  6. Remove the cooked salmon bites from the air fryer. Place them in a clean bowl.
  7. Pour half of the Bang Bang sauce over the hot salmon bites and gently toss to coat.
  8. Serve the salmon bites immediately, drizzling the remaining sauce over the top.

Notes

  • For a baked version, arrange the salmon on a baking sheet and broil for 5-7 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
  • Serve these salmon bites over steamed rice or with roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute regular mayonnaise with Greek yogurt for a lower-fat sauce option.
