Make this moist, sweet, and savory baked honey garlic salmon for a quick weeknight dinner. This simple glazed salmon recipe uses common ingredients and bakes perfectly in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, and black pepper to create the glaze.
  4. Spoon half of the honey garlic mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
  7. Return the salmon to the oven and bake for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is bubbly. The internal temperature should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra moisture, you can place thin lemon slices on top of the salmon before baking.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, you can simmer the reserved glaze mixture on the stovetop for 2 minutes until slightly reduced, then brush it on during the last few minutes of baking.
  • Serve this sweet and savory salmon with roasted asparagus or steamed rice for a complete meal.
