Make tender, juicy baked chicken breast every time with this simple garlic butter recipe. It is perfect for quick weeknight dinners and requires minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with foil for easier cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and paprika. This is your best baked chicken seasoning.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This step helps the seasoning adhere and promotes better browning.
  4. Place the dried chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top and sides of each chicken breast.
  6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit is reached in the thickest part of the breast. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness to avoid dry chicken breast.
  7. Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Resting keeps the chicken juicy.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving your melt in your mouth chicken.

Notes

  • For extra flavor and moisture, you can pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before seasoning.
  • This recipe is naturally Keto and Gluten-Free. For Whole30 compliance, ensure your Italian seasoning does not contain sugar.
  • To make this a one-pan dinner, add vegetables like broccoli or asparagus to the baking dish during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
